Welcome to Pakistan  Lions Youth Council

Pakistan Lions Youth Council (PLYC) was established in 1986. Since the time of its establishment it has been
effective engaged to serve the humanity. It emerged as an active non-state, non-profit, non-religious
voluntary organization.

It seeks to make meaningful and lasting interventions for the well being of mankind.The organization has taken initiative to alleviate the root cause of many of the socio economic problems prevailing in Pakistan. The pluralism and multi-cause orientation of the organization enables it to work in diverse fields. PLYC is not a donor-dependent, but is a donor-friendly organization that sustains its activities through financial assistance from local and overseas donors, thereby allowing sufficient room for networking with global support agencies and multilateral development institutions that share our development vision. It is backed by a board of directors and a board of advisors composed of men and women known for their integrity and commitment to make meaningful contribution to growth of the organization in diverse fields.
We are registered as under… PLYC is registered under the following acts/ordinance; Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, vide letter No. PP/48, August 1991. Social Welfare Department Government of Punjab, under the voluntary social welfare Agencies Registration& control ordinance 1961(XLVI) OF1961 dated 12th August. All Pakistan Youth Federation, Vide Letter No. APYF/R/90/78 of 1990, Dated. August 6, 1990. Ministry of Youth Affairs (Govt. of Pakistan) vide enrollment no. F.10-27/91-NP, Dated. September 19,1991 UNICEF, Punjab, vide Letter No. PAKE/119/HN-14, Dated, March 16, 1992 Department of Public Information (DPI)/NGO Section at United Nations, New York Vide Letter, Dated. April 1, 1997.

Our vision, mission and goal provide us the road map our belief and objective   provide us a certain course of actions and our values determine our ways to reach the destination.
Pakistan is a country where people have all the basic facilit i e s which are required to maintain the lifeat a certain and better standard through integrated development process at the grass root level.
Promotion of sustainable human development by empowering and enabling the community  folks,especially to those who are socially excluded marginalized, destitute and neglected sections of society.
To address and meet the dire needs of community people and provision of basic amenities of life (i.e.education, health) to all sections and factions of society.

  • Socio-economic empowerment of communities with a special focus on marginalized sections of society.
  • Provision of preventive, curative and Care & Support services regarding healthcare including HIV & AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Reproductive Health, Mother & Child Health and Family Planning.
  • Sensitization of masses about Education and provide facilities and services to promote mass education through formal, non-formal basic education, adult literacy, vocational training and technical education.
  • Build the professional capacity of community based organizations.
  • To promote gender sensitization and reduce gender discrimination.
  • Promotion of Basic Human Rights and prevention of violation of Human Rights.
  • Sensitization of masses regarding environmental protection and provision of facilities and services to promote clean and health environment.
  • Rehabilitation and social re-adjustment of addicts, patients and victims of natural calamities.
Objective
National Jinnah Award
In August 2008 the first "National Jinnah Award" issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs Pakistan was awarded by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Dr. Qaisar Javaid Founder Chairman of PLYC (Pakistan lions Youth Council Khanewal). This award destined for PLYC because of out standing performance of this NGO in the development sector especially for the "Youth" of Pakistan.
