"I was not very much worried about the children who are drinking water from hand pump because I always believed that the diseases came from the God Almighty, but after attending the session conducted by Pakistan Lions Youth council I became somewhat conscious about safe drinking water and hand washing with soap but still I did not replicate this training among the students. In one day more than 100 women with small children (under the age of 05 years) come to us to take the charms and for DUM (exorcise). During the follow up meetings with me in the Daras, team of organization told us the situation of the children died annually through Diarrhea in Pakistan may students started to absent due to the diarrhea disease. I was very much upset for hearing their illness and also came to know that we should rub the hands with soap for 20 seconds or recitation of Bismillah Hirrahama Nirrahim three times."

An estimated 250,000 child deaths occur each year in Pakistan due to water-borne disease. Diarrhea is also water born disease, and deaths ratio of children under 5 year age is highest figure in Pakistan. Death rates in Madarassas (Religious Institutions) are high due to unhygienic conditions and unsafe drinking water as many children came from other places and stay there.

As I mentioned during the sessions conducted by Pakistan lions Youth Council partner of PSDW/SHP and repeated visits by the team I was really impressed by the project .I had written the messages on very prominent places inside the Madarasa and placed the soap boxes in front of the latrines, put the soap in those soap boxes. I was very much impressed by the translation of one of the saying by coordinator that Holy prophet Peace Be Upon Him said "who instigated a Sunnah which is not in practice of the masses he would be awarded by the virtues equalizing the virtues of the 70 martyrs (Shaheeds) of Ohad Battle field" No doubt we had already read these verses but we don't give attention to wash hand with soap I started to disseminate these messages among the women who visit me for charms.

I am heartedly thankful to USAID and project team for saving the precious lives of children through this project in Khanewal District

I am feeling proud to discuss these messages with other religious leaders and happily told them that I am acting upon one Sunnah of Holy prophet Peace Be upon Him, some of colleagues are willing to write the messages in their own mosques.

I am working as a religious leaders so I want that all my students should drink clean and safe water and by God's grace I am very happy that I am getting my desires and all my students are drinking water by putting bottles in the sun and are using the soap for hand washing .It will surely be helpful to achieve the project targets and these students will also disseminate the message of safe drinking water in their homes also
